Dogs Are Simply the Best.

There are people out there who don’t like dogs, and I want them all to know that I don’t like them. Doggos are seriously the best things ever. They are so precious and pure. They undoubtedly give the best kisses and are always there for you. 25 Reasons Dogs Are The Best Things On Earth gives an extensive list that covers all the basics.

  1. They’ll greet you like you’ve been gone a century when you only went out for a five-minute trip to the store. (One of the best feelings EVER)
  2. They keep your bed warm for you when it gets cold at night. (Snuggles with my pups are my favorite)
  3. Dogs will watch TV with you without hogging the remote. (Thankfully, my doggies don’t care that we watch HGTV 24/7)
  4. Dogs find the greatest joy in even the simplest of things, like a ride in the car. (Both of my dogs sleep the entire ride, but they still get super excited to go and it’s precious)
  5. Dogs are the best because, unlike people (and most cats), they love you unconditionally. (Who doesn’t love being loved?)
  6. They know how to take awesome selfies. (You know they’re cute, and they know too haha)
  7. Dogs will inspire you to stop and sniff the flowers. (They can keep the butt sniffing to theirselves)
  8. They make a tough day at the office so much better. National Public Radio (NPR) reported that, according to a study published in the “International Journal of Workplace Health Management,” bringing your dog to work can actually help relieve stress. (I 100% agree to this. My pups make my stress melt away)
  9. And, according to the American Heart Association, owning a dog may even protect you from heart disease (So what they’re saying is, owning a dog is healthy)
  10. Dogs make the best workout partners. They’ll motivate you to get up and get moving but won’t make you feel guilty when you just want to crash on the couch. (Most of the time, we stay on the couch)
  11. Dogs are willing to put aside their differences and live in peace, even with their natural-born enemies. (My cat and dog are BFFs)
  12. Owning a dog can help kids learn about responsibility and empathy. (Always supervise kids when they are around animals. My brother put Izzy in a chokehold)
  13. They love to snuggle and they’re the best at it. (My favorite thing to do)
  14. Dogs always seem to know when you’re feeling blue — and they’ll gladly share their favorite toy to cheer you up. (Riley is the cutest with all of his toys)
  15. They know how to make a big splash. (Izzy and Riley are both water dogs)
  16. A dog’s sense of smell is so good, according to NPR, that there are clinical trials to test their ability to detect certain cancers. (Again, more facts proving they’re good for your health)
  17. According to an article in Time, having a dog in your family can actually help prevent your kids from developing allergies. (Whoa, another health fact)
  18. Dogs have some amazing athletic skills. (Riley is still a baby, so he is tripping over his own feet, but Izzy has a few tricks up her sleeves)
  19. Dogs can help you socialize and encourage you to get out and explore. (I have made so many friends based solely on the fact that they have dogs)
  20. Dogs will give you something to laugh and smile about every day. (This is a fact haha)
  21. Whether you’re roughing it or enjoying a plush hotel, dogs make great travel companions. (My doggies love going on trips)
  22. Slobbery dog kisses are actually awesome. (Like I said, they give the best kisses)
  23. Dogs make celebrating holidays even more fun. (Izzy turns 2 on THURSDAY. We are having a party. Everyone is invited)
  24. They can make boring chores, like laundry, more enjoyable just by being adorable. (Both dogs are always by my side, which makes everything more enjoyable)
  25. Every day is an adventure when you share your life with a dog. (YES. YES. YES)

I love my doggies so much. I could not imagine my life without them. I honestly cannot remember a time in my life that I haven’t had a dog by my side; seriously, I’ve had a dog in my life since the day I was born. They make the bestest pet in the whole wide world. I’m a sucker for animals in general, but dogs hold a super special place in my heart. If you don’t/can’t own a dog, go visit a shelter and play with some pups, I promise you’ll be in a better mood afterwards.
